Summary (english):

This course offers the student a general introduction to Cognitive Psychology as a discipline and to its proper investigation methods starting from the origins and the classical theories. Main research themes in Cognitive Psychology are deepened such as study of sensations, perceptual and attentional mechanisms, learning and conditioning processes, structures and mechanisms of memory, knowledge representations. Other relevant themes treated within the course are reasoning and fallacies, problem solving, individual and group decision making.

Main objective of the course is the focus on the functioning of fundamental cognitive processes. The course is structured in three major thematic areas: Perception, Learning and Memory Psychology, Logics and Reasoning. The course analyses and investigates the functioning of the basic processes of the mind: perceptual mechanisms, learning and memory processes, reasoning, problem solving and creative thinking
